Vocalist/bassist Metal Head formed a three piece thrash/punk band in 1988 called Sick Diabetiks. Sick Diabetiks only played two gigs and released a 30 minute demo. Four years after the band split up, the drummer started a new band with Dog Face as guitarist. The band never really went anywhere, and one year later Sick Diabetiks got back together. Dog replaced the former guitarist. Sick Diabetiks got remaned The Eyesores. By April 1993 their lineup included: Dog and Ruk on drums and guitar, Carl on on bass and guitar, and Metal on vocals. The tapes from 1993 became the Eyesores' frist demo, "Hey Dicks, it's the Eyesores. A year later Carl was no longer an eyesore. The remaning Eyesores recorded "Fun Goose." From the summer of 1995- January 1996, Richard "Mad Dog" Lee, a video store clerk joined on guitar. Mad Dog played with the band during 1995 to 1996, Augest 1997, 1998 and January 1999. He also cowrote Snoozegod, and Just Can't Be. In 1996, the Eyesores recorded XXXmas at I'm Stein Studios with members: Mr. Brown, Stab, Metal Head, Mad Dog and Dog Face. In July 1996 Mad Dog left the band for Korea. During the summer of 1997, Stab quit due to stress and Dog took over guitar for six or seven shows. The lineup was Al, Metal and Dog. For a couple of years the Eyesores had many different line ups with various new and old members 'till Dec 1998. Between the end of 1998 to December 1999 there was only a change in guitarists. In December 1999 the Eyesores recorded "Psycho Goth Kings." By the way "Psycho Goth Kings" is a great album espically track 2: "I'm more goth than you are"(ha, ha). Well that's allI have 'till June (I think) 2002 when the Eyesores peformed a a local Fremont high school. Where they played for about 40 minutes and some of the students loved them. (The line-up was Metal Head, Mad Dog, and Dog Face.) As you can see the Eyesores have come a hell of a long way since 1988. I know atleast some people hope they keep rocking for many years to come.
